Summary

The Vice President, Powergen Systems is responsible for the overall commercial leadership, growth, profitability, and market development of SENS' Mission Critical Powergen Systems business.


This executive leader serves as the business leader for the segment and is accountable for developing and executing strategies that drive revenue growth, expand market share, strengthen customer relationships, increase channel influence, and create sustainable competitive advantage.


The Vice President will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional partners to identify growth opportunities, penetrate strategic accounts, influence market adoption, and ensure SENS remains a preferred provider of mission critical power solutions.


This role is ideal for a commercially minded business leader who combines strategic thinking, customer engagement, channel development expertise, and strong execution capabilities.


Responsibilities

Business Leadership & Growth

• Develop and execute annual and long-range growth strategies for the Powergen Genset Systems business.

• Drive bookings, revenue, profitability, and market share growth.

• Identify and pursue new markets, customers, applications, and growth opportunities.

• Develop plans that consistently outperform market growth rates.

• Ensure commercial resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities.

 

Strategic Account Development

• Identify and prioritize customers with the largest addressable spending potential.

• Develop and execute strategic account growth plans.

• Expand wallet share within existing customers.

• Lead executive-level customer engagement activities.

• Support pursuit of transformational business opportunities.

 

Channel & Ecosystem Leadership

• Develop and strengthen relationships throughout the mission critical power ecosystem.

• Establish executive relationships with OEMs, channel partners, consulting engineers, integrators, distributors, and key market influencers.

• Increase specification preference and market influence for SENS technologies and solutions.

• Develop channel growth strategies that expand market reach and customer engagement.

 

Business Development & Market Influence

• Build awareness and preference for SENS solutions among end users and industry stakeholders.

• Drive business development initiatives that increase customer acquisition and market penetration.

• Represent SENS at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements.

• Expand strategic partnerships and industry relationships.

 

Marketing & Customer Acquisition

• Partner with Marketing to develop effective customer acquisition strategies, messaging, and campaigns.

• Define target customer profiles and market priorities.

• Ensure marketing investments align with commercial growth objectives.

• Provide customer and market insights that improve campaign effectiveness.

 

Cross Functional Leadership

• Partner with Commercial Operations, Solution Engineering, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure exceptional customer outcomes.

• Influence organizational priorities and resource allocation.

• Foster collaboration across functions to support growth and customer success.

 

Talent Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial organization.

• Build a culture of accountability, customer focus, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Develop future leaders and succession plans.


Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.

• 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience.

• Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability.

• Experience developing and executing business growth strategies.

• Proven ability to lead through both direct leadership and organizational influence.

• Strong strategic planning, business development, and customer engagement skills.

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building capabilities. 


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within mission critical infrastructure, power systems, electrical equipment, energy storage, switchgear, UPS, power conversion, or related markets.

• Experience working through OEMs, distributors, channel partners, consultants, and end-user customers.

• Strong understanding of complex technical and engineered solution sales environments.

 

Location: Longmont, CO

 

Base Compensation: Compensation for this role includes base pay plus variable pay (commission) for a total on-target earnings (OTE). OTE is calculated as the annual base salary plus the projected annual commission at 100% quota attainment. The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $190,000 with the opportunity to earn variable commission at 100% quota attainment for a total on-target earnings (OTE) range of $270,000 - $290,000.


Equity: This position is eligible for equity in the company.
