Position Summary

As Vice President, you will serve as a key executive leader with oversight of our Bartow operations. This role blends strategic vision, business development, and operational leadership. You’ll be responsible for driving growth, profitability, and excellence across engineering, field, drilling, and laboratory services, while strengthening client relationships and advancing Madrid’s reputation as a trusted partner in Florida.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership for Bartow operations, ensuring alignment with Madrid’s overall strategy and values.

  • Serve as a primary client-facing leader, cultivating long-term relationships with owners, contractors, developers, and industry partners.

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to grow revenue and expand service offerings.

  • Oversee financial performance, including P&L responsibility, budgets, and forecasting.

  • Ensure quality and safety standards are consistently met across all disciplines.

  • Mentor and develop senior managers and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.

  • Represent Madrid in professional and community organizations, enhancing our presence and influence in the industry.

  • Partner with the executive team to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and organizational growth.

 Qualifications
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) in Florida, or eligible through reciprocity within six months.

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, or related fields.

  • Demonstrated success in business development, with established relationships across Florida’s construction and engineering sectors.

  • Strong record of executive leadership with P&L responsibility.

  • In-depth knowledge of Florida Building Codes, FDOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and other regulatory frameworks.

  • Exceptional strategic, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to inspire teams and drive growth.
