Purpose

The Vice President, Financial Business Services & Financial Systems is responsible for leading the enterprise finance shared services organization while establishing the strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of the company's financial systems, processes, and data. Reporting to the Controller, this executive partners with Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and executive leadership to deliver standardized, efficient, technology-enabled finance operations that support strategic decision-making, regulatory compliance, and enterprise growth.
The role provides executive leadership over core finance operations, financial systems, process transformation, master data governance, reporting, automation, and organizational change to ensure Finance operates as a scalable, high-performing business partner.

Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the long-term strategy for Financial Business Services and Financial Systems.
Align finance operations with enterprise objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the Controller, Chief Financial Officer, and other executive leadership on finance operating model, technology investments, and organizational effectiveness.
Build a culture focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement, customer service, and innovation.

Financial Business Services
Provide executive and performance management oversight for enterprise shared services to ensure finance operations comply with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards, as well as driving optimal regulatory outcomes. The service groups include:

Financial Systems Leadership
Own the strategy and governance of Finance technology platforms and partner closely with IT to ensure systems effectively support business requirements while maintaining security, reliability, and scalability including:

Drive end-to-end process ownership and excellence with financial-impacting processes.
Champion organizational change and employee engagement.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance,or Business, MBA preferred
CPA strongly preferred
15+ years progressive finance leadership experience
8+ years leading large finance organizations
Extensive Shared Services leadership
ERP implementation and optimization experience
Financial Systems leadership
Utility or regulated industry experience preferred
Large-scale transformation experience
Executive stakeholder management
