POSITION SUMMARY

Join UCAN as an AmeriCorps Head Start Parent Volunteer Coordinator and help parents become more engaged in their child's education. At UCAN, we're committed to early childhood development and supporting parents in becoming more connected and informed. However, without meaningful opportunities to engage parents in their child's education, it is easy for them to feel disconnected from that growth process. Our goal is to build a robust parent volunteer program within our Head Start programs and provide parents with hands on opportunities in classrooms. Serving within this project will require a passion for early childhood education and engaging families of all backgrounds. This position will also be serving children directly through assisting in classrooms to better inform the support you'll provide parent volunteers. Your service project will be key in supporting parents in building a foundation for their children to succeed later in life.
