Job description

AccentCare Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to help brighten the lives of our patients. Whether you are playing music for our patients, praying with them, providing aromatherapy, visiting with a therapy dog, making supportive phone calls to bereaved families, or sewing memory bears, you can make a difference in the lives of hospice patients. While you are brightening our patientsโ€™ lives you might find that your life becomes brighter too!

AccentCare Hospice, formerly Seasons Hospice, serves patients and families in your area. We are currently seeking new volunteers to provide a wide variety of services to our patients and their loved ones.

Our direct care volunteers visit with patients wherever they call home to provide companionship and socialization.

Loyal Friends Pet Teams bring therapy dogs to visit our patients.

Music companions use the power of music to enhance the quality of our patientsโ€™ lives.

Spiritual companions share their faith with patients of the same religious background and complement the services of our chaplains.

Legacy project volunteers assist patients and families with creating meaningful projects to honor the patientsโ€™ life.

Vigil volunteers provide supportive presence at the bedside of patients who are actively dying. These are just a few of the ways volunteers in our organization support our patients, families, and staff.

Even if you only have a few hours a month to give, we would be honored to have you join our team and support our mission of offering compassionate, personalized hospice care.

Training is free and flexible to fit your schedule and you can choose what area you want to serve.

We look forward to hearing from you and helping you find ways to share your talents with those at the end of life.
