Position Details:

  • Location: Polk County Hospitals - Winter Haven Hospital and Bartow Regional Medical Center

  • Status: Fulltime

  • Available Shifts: 10 hr - Variable start 6:30am-9:30am (Winter Haven Hospital); 6:30am-3:00pm (Bartow Regional Hospital) and 6:30am-5:00pm (Bartow Regional Hospital)

  • On Call: Yes

  • Always in person

Summary:

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

  • RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

  • RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

  • RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization

  • RN is also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of two years of experience as an RN. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 1 year RN experience in the Operating Room for consideration.

Minimum Qualifications:

Specific Skills:

  • Clinical skills appropriate to position

  • Interpersonal skills

Certifications and Licensures:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • RN (Registered Nurse)

  • ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department

  • Preferred Nurse Specialty (CNOR)

Education:

  • Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing

  • Preferred Bachelor's Nursing
