Overview:

The Social & Creator Revenue Lead owns WRAL Media's social platform strategy, page management, creative testing, and revenue strategy across our major channels, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, Substack, and emerging social and creator platforms. This role builds a talent and creator strategy around WRAL Media's personalities, shows, franchises, and repeatable content formats. It protects existing passive social revenue while developing new social inventory, branded-content tests, and unique creative packages. Reporting to the Brand Director, this is both a creative and a revenue-accountable role.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
  • Owns social platform strategy, page management, creative testing, and revenue strategy across major channels.
  • Covers YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, Substack, and emerging social and creator platforms.
  • Builds talent and creator strategy around WRAL Media personalities, shows, franchises, and repeatable formats.
  • Protects passive revenue while developing new social inventory, branded-content tests, and unique creative packages.
  • Tests, measures, and optimizes creative to grow audience, engagement, and monetization.
  • Partners with Brand, News, and Sales to package social and creator opportunities for advertisers.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Five or more years in social media strategy and management, ideally including direct revenue responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success growing social audiences and monetizing social channels through platform payouts, branded content, and sponsorships; experience managing talent, creators, or influencer programs.
  • Fluency with native platform tools and analytics across YouTube, Meta, X, Threads, and Substack; social scheduling/publishing and listening tools; familiarity with content production workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and editorial judgment; a strong creative voice across platforms and formats.
  • Creative and commercial judgment; able to balance audience growth, brand protection, and revenue development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with broadcast or news personalities and talent.
  • Experience with branded-content production and creative packaging.
  • Experience managing platform monetization programs (e.g., YouTube Partner Program).
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move materials, equipment, or promotional items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to move throughout office locations and event venues for meetings, presentations, and collaborative work.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to client meetings, industry conferences, partner locations, and company events.
  • Ability to maintain visual acuity for reviewing reports, contracts, analytics dashboards, and digital presentations.
Work Conditions:
