Position Overview

Fullbay is the number one cloud-based shop management software for commercial repair shops and is growing fast. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team and help shape the next phase of growth for the company.The Software Engineer Intern at Fullbay will assist in designing, coding, and testing software components under the guidance of senior engineers. This role provides an opportunity to understand technical problems, develop solutions, and contribute to project design and implementation.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing designs for software projects, including system architecture, service layouts, APIs, and front/back-end modifications.
  • Participate in estimating project costs and timelines, considering both immediate needs and future scalability.
  • Collaborate with peers to review designs, receive feedback, and refine approaches.
  • Write efficient, well-commented code that adheres to internal standards and addresses space and time complexity.
  • Conduct unit and feature testing to ensure software functionality and compliance with performance standards.
  • Support the resolution of bugs and participate in code reviews, demonstrating continuous improvement in code quality.
  • Adheres to all confidentiality and compliance regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Work Experience:

  • Pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science or a related field. Previous experience in software development, including academic or project-based exposure to modern systems and programming languages, is preferred.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of software design principles and coding practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and open to learning company-specific software frameworks.
  • Ability to engage effectively in a team setting, receive constructive feedback, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
