Job purpose
The Pillow Sewer is responsible for operating sewing machine to join, reinforce or perform related sewing operations to products; accountable for the safe work practice; promote and implement the company's core values and excellence in customer service; responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal customers.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Operate industrial sewer with single and double needle.
  • Responsible for straight line sewing on pillows, bedding and cushions with padding.
  • Supports maintaining a safe working environment and focuses on safe work habits.
  • Maintains a focus for self and team on continuous learning that will enhance skill sets and growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to C&F Enterprises, Inc. core values.

Qualifications
  • A high school diploma and/or equivalent experience
  • Must have the ability to complete work assignments in a high production and high volume environment
  • 3-5 years of sewing experience, preferred

Physical requirements
  • Sitting, Standing Walking
  • Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling)
  • Good eye-hand coordination and sense of balance
  • Exposure to varied temperatures within warehouse environment
  • Work inside and outside; work around machinery with moving parts and vehicles
  • Carrying, pushing, pulling boxes and items; up to 40 lbs, at times.
