Description

Rosie's Place was founded in 1974 as the first women's shelter in the United States. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to help poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunities, and find security in their lives.

Over the years, we have become much more than a shelter. We are a multi-service community center that not only provides meals and shelter but also creates answers for thousands of women a year through wide-ranging support, housing, and education services. Rosie's Place relies on the generous support of individuals, foundations, and corporations and does not accept any city, state or federal funding.

OPPORTUNITY:

Rosie's Place is seeking a detail-oriented team member with a passion for human services to join our Community Engagement team. The Volunteer and Intern Manager reports to the Director of Community Engagement and is responsible for overseeing individual volunteering at Rosie's Place. • Execute a communication plan with volunteers and interested community members in person as well as through email, phone calls and virtual meetings.
  • Provide direct supervision to volunteers in select programs including the Women's Education Center.
  •  Supervision of Volunteer Services Associate, temporary department employees, volunteers and interns.
  • Establish, maintain and cultivate collaborative relationships with all stakeholders including staff, guests, volunteers and community members.
