Key Responsibilities

  • Test Scripting: Write clean, modular, and maintainable automated test scripts primarily utilizing Python.
  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into DevOps pipelines.
  • Test Optimization: Actively debug flaky tests, optimize execution speed, and implement stable locator strategies (such as accessibility roles and test IDs).
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with developers, product managers, and manual QA peers in an Agile/Scrum environment to review requirements and define comprehensive test strategies.
Required Technical Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience & Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, with 3–5 years of professional experience in Software Test Automation / Quality Engineering.
  • Playwright Expertise: Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience building test suites with Playwright.
  • Programming: Strong proficiency in Python.
  • CI/CD Platforms: Proven experience configuring test execution inside CI tools (e.g., managing pipeline triggers, matrices, and test artifacts/traces).
  • Testing Best Practices: Expert knowledge of the Page Object Model (POM), data‑driven testing, test isolation, and API testing.
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and containerization tools like Docker strongly preferred, as well as prior experience in database querying (SQL/NoSQL) to handle automated test data setup and teardown.
  • Ideal candidate will provide examples of debugging and root‑cause analysis skills to pinpoint failures quickly using Playwright Traces and Inspectors.
  • Teamwork and excellent communication skills required, in order to report bugs articulately and collaborate across technical teams to assist in resolution.
  • Ownership: A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous delivery and driving a culture of software excellence.
