Job description

Applicants must be a minimum of 14 years of age or in the ninth grade. This form must be completed by
the applicant.


Upon completion of this application a CORI Authorization and CORI Request will be sent via email and must be completed. ID is required (school ID, passport, or license accepted).


Volunteer opportunities are available with this department year-round, and are unpaid. Applicants may be asked to interview with staff. Opportunities may be available at:

Summer camps: Engage with campers and their activates (sports & games, arts & crafts, team building) throughout the day, follow general direction of counselors and/or director on site.

Sport Clinics: Assist with leading activities, equipment set-up, demonstrate sport-specific skills and techniques, and engage with and monitor the participants.


Youth Leagues: Volunteer as a coach, referee, or scorekeeper.


Therapeutic Recreation: Volunteers with Therapeutic Recreation may work in a variety of program settings. The volunteers role may be to assist with supporting a participant within the program, modeling directions, increasing engagement or assisting the program staff in leading activities.


Youth Tennis: Assist at Youth Tennis Lessons and Youth Tennis Clinic with equipment set-up, demonstrate various tennis strokes and skills, and engage with and monitor the participants.


Summer Camp: Volunteers in summer camp may have a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to assisting with daily activities, engaging with campers, modeling and encouraging positive behavior and assisting with group management.


Aquatics (summer only): Assists swimming instructors with lessons. Responsible for equipment set up and clean up. May perform light maintenance duties as needed. Must be prepared to enter the water for all swim lessons.


Special Events: Assist with set up, break down and implementation of community events. Examples include the annual Harvest Fest, Haunted House.


Marketing: Visit programs, events and facilities and capture photographs and marketing material for the department
