Both roles involve animal handling but differ in formal training, work environment, and employment type.

Is $100 a day good for dog sitting?

For a volunteer rover dog sitting role, $100 a day is generally considered a high rate, as volunteer positions typically do not pay. Paid dog sitting jobs usually range from $20 to $50 per day depending on the location, duration, and services provided. Volunteering often involves no monetary compensation, so payment expectations should be clarified beforehand.

How do I join Rover as a pet sitter?

To join Rover as a pet sitter, you need to create a profile on the Rover website or app, provide details about your experience with pets, and complete the necessary background checks. Once approved, you can set your availability, rates, and start accepting pet sitting jobs in your area.

Is $30 a day good for dog sitting?

For a volunteer rover dog sitting role, $30 a day is generally considered a reasonable amount for pet sitting services, depending on the dog's needs, duration, and location. Paid dog sitting rates can vary widely, with professional sitters often charging more, but volunteer roles typically do not involve payment. If the position is unpaid, compensation may be in the form of experience or community service rather than monetary pay.
