Job description

Metal Forming Machine Operator

Location: Baltimore, MD
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Starting Pay: $22.00/hour, with higher pay available based on experience

Position Summary

We are hiring a Metal Forming Machine Operator to set up and run press brake equipment used to bend and form metal components. The ideal candidate can read technical documentation, select appropriate tooling, and accurately measure finished parts.

U.S. citizenship required. Drug screening and background check required.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate press brake machinery.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Choose the appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job.
  • Measure and inspect parts during and after production.
  • Maintain an organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
  • Produce accurate, quality components according to job specifications.
Requirements
  • 1+ year of press brake operating experience
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and shop documentation.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other measurement tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
