The role of Licensed Mental Health Counselor is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for a work-life balance that promotes productivity and personal well-being. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, you will undertake an array of responsibilities that directly influence patient outcomes:

• Perform comprehensive mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and patient assessments to create individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and institutional programs to facilitate proper patient care transitions, ensuring access to necessary mental health resources.
• Lead group therapy sessions and mental health treatments within observation units, offering clients valuable peer-supported therapeutic experiences.
• Document all clinical interactions meticulously while adhering to regulatory and ethical guidelines.
• Engage in weekly clinical supervision sessions with your Clinical Supervisor, promoting ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
• Attend and contribute to case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and medical rounds, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care.
• Manage and conduct psychological testing as required, providing essential insights into patients' mental health status.
• Supervise social work interns or student volunteers, fostering the next generation of mental health professionals.
• Complete auxiliary tasks assigned by the Unit Chief or Clinical Supervisor that support unit operations.

You will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with various mental health challenges. Your role will focus on delivering compassionate care rooted in a person-centered approach, addressing issues ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship conflicts. To be successful in this position, candidates must have:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building trust with clients and collaborating effectively within a clinical team.
