Job description

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Elementary Director will make Sundays and special events at NC Kids safe, inspiring and fun for elementary students K-4th grade. They also will give primary oversight to volunteer recruitment, retention and developmental strategies across the NC Kids departments.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Elementary

  • Ensure an excellent large group and small group experience for kids.
  • Prepare weekly curriculum, games, crafts, and worship.
  • Coordinate regular Elementary age special events.
  • Develop, equip and empower a team of great volunteers.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for all K-4 programming.
  • Serve and support the Elementary volunteer team before, during and after Sunday services.
  • Cultivate relationships with Elementary kids and families.
  • Provide age-appropriate "next steps" in helping them to live like Jesus .
  • Implement systems that convey worth and care to the kids.


Volunteer Development

  • Develop creative volunteer recruitment, retention and developmental strategies (across all the NC Kids areas). Each Ministry Director is responsible for the implementation of these strategies.
  • Make sure a robust on-boarding and pastor care process is in place across all Kids Min departments.
