Posting Summary
The Labor Education Action Research Network (LEARN) at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking an energetic and passionate labor educator to join our teaching staff. We are looking for someone who can lead courses for working adults, union members and leaders, and labor relations professionals. The candidate will be responsible for designing customized curriculum to meet the needs of our clients as well as coordinating and implementing existing educational programs, often in collaboration with other faculty and staff. The position requires teaching expertise using diverse methodologies to effectively relate to a wide variety of learners from various backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of and/or experience working with worker organizations and/or in the labor relations field and a strong commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience; at least two years of instructional experience, including relevant program content; and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Success in this position will be measured through attendance, course evaluations, and class member engagement.
Knowledge of and/or experience working with the New Jersey labor movement, broadly defined
Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Individual will have knowledge of classroom management, adult learning, and effective communication/facilitation techniques. We are an inclusive learning community, and classroom spaces should reflect that, regardless of subject matter.
Preferred Qualifications Equipment Utilized
May be required to use Webex, Zoom, or other online software used to conduct their course
