  • Partner with engagement teams to define business questions, data requirements, and analytical approaches.
  • Extract, clean, combine, validate, and analyze large and complex financial, customer, sales, pricing, profitability, and operational datasets using Python, SQL, Alteryx, Excel, and related tools.
  • Analyze and model complex datasets to evaluate business performance, identify transaction risks and opportunities, and support investment and value creation decisions.
  • Perform analyses involving customer segmentation, retention, customer lifetime value, pricing, discounting, profitability, market forecasting, and location performance.
  • Evaluate revenue, margin, EBITDA, customer behavior, and other key business drivers to identify meaningful trends, anomalies, and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards, data visualizations, presentations, and executive-level recommendations that clearly communicate findings to clients and engagement teams.
  • Translate complex analytical results into clear business and financial implications for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary Transaction Advisory teams to incorporate relevant financial, operational, technology, and transaction considerations into the analysis.
  • Manage day-to-day client interactions, analytical workstreams, project deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Identify and communicate data-quality issues, analytical limitations, and their potential effect on the conclusions.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the team's technical and analytical development.
  • Meeting or exceeding targeted billing hours (utilization)
  • Other duties as assigned

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related business discipline required. A degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline may be considered when combined with relevant transaction advisory, value creation and professional-services experience.
  • 4+ years of data analytics experience within transaction advisory, M&A advisory, or a similar professional services environment required.
  • Experience analyzing complex company-level financial, customer, sales, pricing, profitability, or operational data to support transaction-related conclusions and client recommendations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of transaction-related data and the ability to interpret analytical results in the context of business performance, revenue and margin drivers, investment considerations, and value creation opportunities.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Alteryx for data cleaning, structuring, analyzing, and modeling large transaction-related datasets, with the ability to interpret the results and clearly explain their business and financial implications.
  • Proficiency with SQL, relational databases, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or another business intelligence and visualization platform.
  • Experience supporting M&A, divestiture, transaction-related analysis, or post-acquisition value creation engagements.
  • Experience performing customer, pricing, profitability, forecasting, or location analytics.
  • Understanding of the M&A and private equity investment lifecycle.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to connect analytical findings to transaction objectives and value creation opportunities.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, presentation, interpersonal, and client-facing communication skills.
