Position Summary:

To effectively perform and communicate all the required duties of the Corporate Graphics and Labeling Manager position in an accurate, thorough, and safe manner for Carl Buddig Company (CBC), Carl Buddig BBQ (CBQ) and Old Wisconsin Sausage (OWS), as outlined per the Carl Buddig and Company job description in a timely manner.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing, leading, and communicating the graphics and labeling program from end to end.
  • Responsible for all USDA/Canada Label Submittals.
  • Work with USDA/Canada Consultants to ensure packaging meets all regulations.
  • Proof all package labeling to ensure compliance with USDA/Canada regulations and company guidelines.
  • Responsible for final signoff on the Supplier/Customer Approval proofing websites and manual approval routings.
  • Responsible for final signoff of live packaging samples prior to releasing to the plant for production.
  • Point person for Customer Inquiries related to claims and/or sourcing.
  • Issue film/label samples for graphics books as updates are made.
  • Create/maintain the Management of Change documentation required to transition into new packaging materials.
  • Update and maintain packaging specifications into company specification system (pallet patterns, package images, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate files of USDA/Graphics approvals.
  • Serve as the key contact concerning graphics internally and externally (Sales/Marketing, Agencies, Pre-Press, Customers, Suppliers/Printers).

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years college education.
  • 2 years’ experience working with packaging graphics and government labeling submittals.
  • 2 years’ experience with USDA submittal/approval process and regulations (as well as for Canada) preferred.
  • Graphics and Regulatory Certifications preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a strong organizational style to prioritize, track and manage progress with multiple projects at once across brands and production facilities.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Requires a very meticulous approach to be successful.
  • Ability to legally work in the United States is required.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week.
  • Knowledge of printing techniques a plus.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in various temperatures (office/lab/production).
  • Must be flexible and able to work as needed.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to manage many projects at one time with high levels of accuracy.

Pay Range for this position $80,000 to $90,000, depending on experience.
