Coyote Central sparks creativity in young people by putting tools in their hands to build skills and forge their future. Over 1,000 youth ages 10 to 15 come to Coyote Central year-round for hands-on workshops with professional artists, chefs, furniture makers, fashion designers, metal artists, animators, dancers, filmmakers, and many other creative people.
Coyote Central is seeking a full-time Operations & Program Manager to assist with leading a small, collaborative staff dedicated to expanding access to creative opportunities for young people.  Reporting to the Executive Director, this role helps ensure the organization runs smoothly and that workshops, classes, and events are implemented effectively.

  • Coordinate onboarding and documentation for teaching artists and contractors.
  • Manage scheduling and day-to-day coordination of staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Maintain personnel records and program documentation.
  • Communicate program logistics and expectations with staff and teaching artists.

Compliance & Safety (5–10%)
  • Maintain youth safety and protection documentation.
  • Track certifications, background checks, and required trainings.
  • Maintain incident reporting and documentation processes.
  • Maintain compliance-related records and support updates to procedures.
  • Completes other duties as assigned in support of operations, program management, and overall organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing programs, events, or community initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and administrative tools.

Preferred

  • Experience in arts education or youth-serving nonprofits.
  • Experience coordinating performances, exhibitions, or arts events.
