The University of Miami's College of Arts and Sciences has an exciting opportunity for a full time Post Doctoral Associate to work in Coral Gables, FL.
The Department of Psychology, within the College of Arts & Sciences, is seeking a full-time Post-Doctoral Associate for 24 months under the supervision of Dr. Amishi Jha. The post-doctoral associate will oversee data collection and analysis of neurobehavioral research that investigates the impact of mindfulness training in high-demand cohorts. A Ph.D. degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field is required. Cognitive neuroscience expertise and a track record of academic publications are required, and expertise in advanced statistical methods involving HLM is highly preferred.
Core Responsibilities:
• Works and collaborates on studies related to field of study.
• Ensures implementation and dissemination of scientific research in collaboration with a research team.
• Applies statistical methods to large-scale, longitudinal training-related behavioral data.
• Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories.
• Contributes to scientific literature and conferences.
Lab Specific Responsibilities:
• Contributing to quarterly and annual reporting for grant-funded projects.
• Manage IRB submissions, reporting and management of studies.
• Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in their work on grant-funded projects.
• Active dissemination of research in the form of posters, oral presentations, and peer-reviewed publications.
• Engaging in team-based large-scale studies in military populations and other high-demand cohorts
• Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories.
