Job description

Description:

The Volunteer Group provides time, talent and leadership to carry out the mission of Axess Family Services.


Responsibilities dependent upon the program assignment and may include but not limited to:

  • Prepare and/or serving meals
  • Clean kitchens, facilities, vacant shelter/housing units
  • Stock food pantries and other supplies
  • Outdoor beautification projects
  • Paint the facilities, shelters
  • Assist with organizing/managing donations
  • Assist with special events
  • Organize a donation drive or fundraiser for the organization/program
  • Entertain (play piano, etc.)
  • Teach a craft/skill
  • Teach financial literacy
Requirements:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS: (based on program requirements)

  • Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Ability to work as an effective team.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
