Job Title: Electronics Assembler

Job Description

As an Electronics Assembler, you will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. This includes modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. You will work from diagrams and drawings, create initial layouts, and utilize hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Additionally, you will make continuity checks on work in progress and completed tasks, conduct quality inspections on the processing line according to quality specifications, and may disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies under simulated conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies.
  • Work from diagrams and drawings to make initial layouts.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, jigs, and saws in assembly tasks.
  • Make continuity checks on work in process and completed items.
  • Conduct quality inspections in accordance with quality specifications.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test assemblies as required.

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of IPC standards or similar industry standards.
  • Soldering, repair, and assembly experience.
  • Experience in a dynamic and high-paced environment.
  • Ability to accurately record detailed information in a timely manner.
  • Experience with common quality systems, including nonconformances and corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • IPC-J-STD-001 Soldering certification.
  • IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies Certification.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with wire harness/cable bundle assembly.
  • RF experience.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with IPC 619 and IPC 620 standards.

Pay and Benefits
