Position Description
Manhattan University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the METRO Conference is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach. The Assistant Coach supports the NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse program by recruiting and developing qualified student-athletes, supervising assistant coaches, and managing daily operations.
The Assistant Coach is expected to uphold the academic mission of Manhattan University by recruiting, supporting, and retaining student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and on the field. The program must be conducted in compliance with all institutional, METRO and NCAA rules and regulations. This is an in person on campus non - remote position.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and administering all aspects of the Men's Lacrosse program.
  • Recruit and retain student-athletes who will be competitive within the METRO and committed to academic success.
  • Oversee assistant coaches, support staff, and day-to-day program operations.
  • Scout opponents, develop competitive strategies, and prepare game plans.
  • Serve as liaison with academic support services, admissions, compliance, and athletic training staff.
  • Coordinate film breakdown, video edits, statistical analysis, and technology integration.
  • Assist with scheduling practices, games, team travel, and logistics.
  • Manage equipment, uniforms, and apparel in coordination with department staff and vendors.
  • Foster a positive team culture emphasizing leadership, accountability, and sportsmanship.
  • Represent Manhattan University and the Men's Lacrosse program at alumni, fundraising, and community engagement events as assigned.
