Job Title: Issue Triage Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Issue Triage Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex issue triage using MATLAB and Python, evaluating issues found during various level testing, and coordinating with internal engineers and external customers to resolve problems efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex issue triage using MATLAB and Python to plot signals.
- Evaluate issues found during VSYS4 and VSYS5 level testing and assign ownership to the correct team for problem solving.
- Review system design and coordinate test case design to match system requirements.
- Automate the detection of potential issues for VSYS4 and VSYS5 testing.
- Triage issues during vehicle preparation, summarize them, and coordinate with internal engineers and external customers.
- Review and improve instrumentation for VSYS4 and VSYS5.
- Summarize common failure patterns and report potential process deficiencies during product development.
- Review test data processing scripts.
- Perform root cause analysis to determine issues/failures and triage them to the appropriate team (Bench, Vehicle, Software, etc.).
- Support test case development and test result analysis.
- Support SYS4 and SYS5 issue triage and vehicle readiness.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience with CAN network and the use of CAN tools to diagnose serial data communication.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle components and ADAS systems.
- Proficiency in scripting with MATLAB and Python.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain how ADAS features work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Valid Driver's License and willingness to be trained on Tier 2 Level Driving.
- 2 years of experience in ADAS system development.
- Knowledge of common vehicle sensors like radar and camera.
- Understanding of signal processing and vehicle dynamics.
- Familiarity with the product development process and responsibility.
- Prior issue triage/debugging experience.
- Knowledge of other vehicle communication protocols like Eth/LIN.
- Experience with read/write requirements and test cases.
- Experience with issue logging systems like Jira.
- Experience with Canoe.
- Experience with software debugging on embedded systems.
- Understanding of C++ and Simulink.
- Knowledge of functional safety.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, DE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $41.00/hr.
