GovSG is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be involved in leading or participating in analysis of future Missile Defense System (MDS) architectures and concepts, and modeling and simulation (M amp;S) tool development to support MDS architecture assessment.
This is an on-site position in Huntsville, AL.
Position Duties:
- Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats to develop potential architecture solutions that mitigate gaps and/or improve performance.
- Assist with the development of analysis plans, execute MDS simulation tools utilizing the DoD High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems, assess analysis results, prepare analysis briefs/reports, and provide reviews of analysis products.
- Support modeling amp; simulation (M amp;S) efforts related to the above to tailor tools to specific analysis plans.
Position Required:
- Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Field with 7+ years of experience in missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project.
- Solid understanding of the current MDS architecture and future concepts.
- Experience in modeling, assessment, and evaluation of future missile defense architectures.
- Experience with MATLAB.
Position Desired:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Experience with the definition and use of advanced concepts and algorithms for the M amp;S of MDS architectures
- Experience with M amp;S and analysis of MDS architectures involving both directed and kinetic energy weapons and other future concepts
- Experience with HPC Systems, Python, and Git is a plus
- Experience with BMD Benchmark
- Experience supporting systems engineering-related architecture design activities
- Ability to perform technology assessment amp; analysis and provide insight on the utility of potentially useful technologies
- Specialized MDS analysis experience in: threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signatures
- MBSE experience related to missile defense system architectures
Salary: $135,000-$145,000. Actual compensation offered to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
