Job Description

The TRM Volunteer Coordinator Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the Community Engagement Department in furthering the success of a thriving volunteer program. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for assisting in developing volunteer policies and trainings, volunteer acquisition and management, day to day volunteer operations, and performing various research and administrative duties.

Qualifications
  • Current undergraduate student preferred
  • Business Administration, Non Profit Leadership, Social Work or related major preferred
  • Passion for volunteerism and its impact on the success of a nonprofit organization
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and on a team
  • Ability to pass extensive background check
Additional Information

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist the Volunteer Manager in recruitment, retention and appreciation efforts
  • Support in the development and enactment of volunteer positions, policies and best practices
  • Research and implement new ways of reaching out to potential volunteers; post online recruitment listings, attend volunteer fairs, visit volunteer partner sites, etc.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation and assessment of volunteer and TRM trainings
  • Interact and build relationships with TRM volunteers and volunteer groups
  • Work with TRM's online database, VolunteerHub
  • Attend TRM events and meetings as a support to the Volunteer Manager
  • Participate in daily operations and administrative tasks
