Job description

An Apprentice Plumber is becoming a skilled professional with both classroom learning and on-the-job training. You gain everything you need for career success. You'll create with your hands, working outdoors in different environments, and can tell your family and friends "I helped build that". Do you have Apprentice credits from somewhere else? They may transfer to our certified NCCER program. Classes begin in August 2025, but you can start working immediately.
Military Veterans are encouraged to apply! Our Apprentice school qualifies for the GI Bill!

Your main Tasks:
  • To work safely no matter what. Safety is our highest priority.
  • Learn to lay out and install commercial pipes in a wide variety of job settings.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles.
  • Build and install hangers to hold material in place.
  • Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roofs.
  • Assist with installing plumbing fixtures.
  • Learn to use a variety of power & hand tools.
  • Complete classes online, and at-home study with skills and textbook learning.

Experience or Certification needed:
  • A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience using hand tools and a tape measure is a plus.

You need to be able to:
  • Keep it a Drug-free Workplace.
  • Be punctual and reliable.
  • Work as a team.
  • Do Basic "Tape measure math".
  • Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.
  • Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
  • Work efficiently in confined spaces.
  • Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
  • Exercise fine motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.
