Job Description:

This position reports directly to the Director of Family Engagement and Giving and collaborates with the Senior Director of Alumnae/iEngagement as well as the Associate Director of Reunion Giving. The primary focus of this position is to translate student and young alumnae/iengagement into philanthropic support. Serving as a gift officer, this role will prioritizeinpersondonor visits and annual fund solicitations, while building a sustainable pipeline of engaged and givingalumnae/i.

Withparticular responsibilityfor reimagining the senior class gift initiative, the ideal candidate will connect student experiences to long-term giving, ensuringa strong foundationfor future alumnae/ileadership and engagement with Alumnae/iRelations and Development.

This full-time, non-exempt position hasan anticipatedschedule of 35 hours per week, year-round (1,820 hoursannualized).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Build robust participation-based programming and philanthropic awareness for Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) alumnae/i, including local and regional travel to meet with GOLD alumnae/i, organizing events to expand the visibility of and engagement in the GOLD program, as well as volunteer and social media management.

  • Manage the One-Year Alum Mentorship Program in partnership with colleagues from the Career and Civic Engagement Center.

  • Manage GOLD fundraising and engagement communications for Reunion Year One, 5th & 10th reunion fundraising and planning efforts.

  • Oversee student engagement initiatives to cultivate their future involvement as alumnae/ithrough events and programming and to educate students and young alumnae/ion the impact of philanthropic support.

  • Collaborate with Offices of Residential Life & Student Engagement, the Career and Civic Engagement Center (the Center), Athletics, Office of Student Success (and the Class Year Deans) andadditionalARD colleagues and campus partners to lead student engagement.

  • Hire,trainand manage Student Workers to help with ARD office tasks and serve as ambassadors to the student population for our student engagement initiatives

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

  • Must be able to multi-task, work independently and handle confidential matters withappropriate discretion; attention to detail;demonstratedwillingness and ability to accept new responsibilities and seek out projects.

  • The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship drivenself-starterwho prioritizesbroad-basedparticipation, builds meaningful connections with young alumnae/i, and cultivates the next generation of volunteer and philanthropic leaders for the College.

  • Must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Power Point; familiarity with fundraising software, social media platforms, and video and design software is helpful. College degree and experience in working with students, fundraising, higher education, or non-profit preferred.
