Simon & Schuster is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Voice Picker for the Split Case department who will be responsible for various task.
Overview
This is a role within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old book publishing company with offices around the world.
In this role you will be a Voice Picker in our Split Case Department.
What you will be doing on a daily basis
  • Pick orders using voice picking equipment.
  • Follow simple voice commands to fill book orders.
  • Meet or exceed LM SOP quota.
  • Scan labels using finger scanner.
  • Willing to work in other areas of operation from time to time.
  • Take direction from different leads when working in other areas.
  • Perform replenishments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Some requirements:
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Ability to understand and read shipping labels.
  • Ability to understand and follow simple commands.
  • Able to meet daily LM quota for picking.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good listening and math skills.
  • You must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • You must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • You must have the ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day.
  • Able to follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Overtime as needed. (both voluntary and mandatory)

Shift and Schedule:
  • Monday- Friday - 1:00PM - 9:00PM
