Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Home Health position in the East Portland, OR area, requiring active OR and WA licenses and at least one year of skilled home health experience.

Details
  • Home health setting serving East Portland, OR and surrounding areas
  • 1:1 patient ratio with visits of up to 6 patients per day; 30 productivity points is the standard
  • 8-hour day shifts (5x8); 4x10 and 3x12 schedules cannot be accommodated
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within a given state
  • Charting via Epic Remote Client for Home Health (laptop) and Rover phone app; OASIS documentation required
Requirements
  • Active RN license in both OR and WA required (pending licenses accepted)
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required
  • OASIS experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must have reliable personal transportation
  • First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • COVID-19 primary vaccine series plus at least one booster required
Additional Information
  • Service area may occasionally extend up to a 60-mile radius, with a maximum of approximately 60–90 minutes of total drive time per day; the facility does its best to group patient visits to minimize travel time
  • Business casual attire required; scrubs are permitted in any color but not required; jeans are not allowed
  • Former permanent staff of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the applying facility
  • Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50–75 miles of the facility are considered local and may be eligible at the same rate
  • RTO is minimal; a few days may be approved but significant RTO requests are discouraged
  • Mileage reimbursement is provided at the IRS standard rate; parking is free
