Job description

Position: Industrial Maintenance Technician (Grade 1) Location: Franklin Park Shift: 12-hour shifts Overtime: Required as needed Pay Rate: $28.41/hour

Summary Description The Industrial Maintenance Technician supports plant operations by maintaining, repairing, and improving production, utility, and facility equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to support both daily maintenance activities and small improvement projects.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Support a zero-injury culture by participating in and leading safety initiatives
  • Perform safety audits and assist with safety training as required
  • Maintain and repair production equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Maintain and repair utility and facility-related equipment
  • Assist other maintenance personnel with repairs, tooling changes, and equipment setup
  • Support small projects to maintain, repair, or upgrade equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and rotating equipment issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to maintenance activities
Weโ€™d Love to Hear From You
  • If you have 3+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • You have experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, and rotating equipment
  • You have experience in extrusion, injection molding, or thermoforming manufacturing operations (preferred)
  • You have experience with machine shop equipment and welding
  • You have electrical and/or controls experience
  • You can read and interpret prints and schematics
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You can manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time
  • You are self-motivated and proactive
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email, and internet-based systems
  • You hold an Associate degree or higher in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology preferred)
