Job description

The primary purpose of this role is to serve as a Service Electrician at Evolved Lighting & Energy for a variety of customers in Ohio and the Midwest. As a Service Electrician, the primary responsibility is to ensure safe and reliable installation of electrical systems and devices. Typical projects will be related to lighting retrofit and lighting control projects. Role is expected to expand into management of service, warranty and EV charging.

Job Duties:

  • Troubleshoots electrical issues for any projects needed.
  • Diagnose electrical issues (loose neutrals, tracing circuits, switching controls, etc.)
  • Reviews and looks over electrical plans/drawings
  • Ensures install crew is installing equipment correctly and up to electrical code standards
  • Determines if product is suitable for intended applications
  • Completes service calls and rotates for emergency work
  • Follow blueprints or electrical schematics to help install and repaid electrical wiring
  • Performs EV charging installs
  • Familiar with hand and power tools
  • Follow directions and climb heights
  • Assist with any aspect of an electrical project and daily responsibilities
  • Additional duties as needed

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • 8+years in construction, lighting, tradesmen role
  • 8+years utilizing hand and power tools
  • 8+ years working in electrical environment
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Experience installing lighting fixtures, motion activated occupancy systems and building controls preferred
  • Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Organized
  • Identify and understand wire connectors, couplings, and adapters
  • Identify wire cable types and wire coverings
  • Must be able to work 8, 10, or 12-hour work shifts for full 40-hour work week
  • Must be flexible to work weekly day, night, or overnight shifts
  • Must be able to travel and work in surrounding counties (in Ohio) for weekly shift for projects as needed (not a travel job)
  • Must undergo background and drug screen
  • Shift & Travel Pay Differential, Paid Travel, Lodging, Mileage and Per Diem when traveling
