Job description

Energy Exploration Technologies, Inc. (EnergyX) is advancing lithium extraction and energy storage technologies to support the global transition to sustainable energy.

THE ROLE

EnergyX is building the technology that will power the clean energy transition. We need a Visual Storyteller who can keep pace with us: someone who films, edits, designs, and writes with equal confidence and ships content fast without sacrificing quality.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Austin, TX, and embedded on the marketing team. You will travel to EnergyX project sites, partner facilities, and events to capture the story as it unfolds. You will produce content across every format and placement: organic social, paid ads, web, and video. If you thrive in high-output environments, move fast, and have a sharp creative eye, this role is meant for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Production

  • Film, edit, and deliver high-quality video and photo content on tight timelines across multiple active projects
  • Design graphics, motion graphics, and branded visual assets for web, ads, and social
  • Write and copy edit captions, scripts, ad copy, and on-screen text with a clear, on-brand voice
  • Travel to EnergyX project sites and events to document milestones, technology deployments, and partnerships as they happen
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate production, streamline workflows, and stay ahead of the content curve

Paid and Organic Social

  • Manage and grow organic social across Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and TikTok, including posting, scheduling, and community engagement
  • Produce paid ad creative across formats: static, video, and carousel for Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn, and display
  • Understand what makes paid creative perform: thumb-stop hooks, direct response formats, and fast iteration on winning concepts
  • Adapt every asset for platform-specific formats: Reels, Shorts, long-form video, stories, and web banners

Marketing Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the marketing team to align content with campaigns, announcements, and brand priorities
  • Maintain a content calendar and deliver assets on deadline with minimal back-and-forth
  • Support press, investor, and executive communications with polished visual assets on short notice

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A strong portfolio that shows range: video, photography, graphic design, and ad creative
  • Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma
  • Fluency with AI-powered production tools including video generation, image creation, audio enhancement, and AI editing assistants to move faster without sacrificing quality
  • Strong writing and copy editing skills with an eye for grammar, clarity, and brand voice
  • Experience producing paid ad creative with an understanding of what drives performance
  • Hands-on social media management experience with a track record of building or growing accounts
  • Willingness and ability to travel to field sites and events, sometimes on short notice
  • A high-output, self-starter mentality. You find the story, you build the asset, and you ship it.
  • Comfort making complex, technical subjects visually compelling and accessible to a broad audience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience at a startup, energy, tech, or mission-driven company
  • Drone operation certification or experience shooting in industrial or outdoor field environments
  • Background in documentary-style storytelling or founder-led brand content
  • Familiarity with paid media platforms including Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager

HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED

This role is accountable to real outcomes. You will be measured on:

  • Reach and views: video views, impressions, and content reach across all platforms
  • Audience growth: follower and subscriber growth month over month across channels
  • Engagement: likes, shares, comments, saves, and engagement rate by platform
  • Paid performance: CTR, cost per result, and creative performance on paid placements
  • Output velocity: volume of assets shipped on time and to brief each month
  • Brand consistency: quality and on-brand accuracy across every deliverable

What we offer

  • Competitive pay
  • Paid time-off, holidays, and sick time
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Equity Package
  • Medical, dental and vision benefits with employer contribution; voluntary benefits available
