Job description

Engineering Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Technician to join our team. This position requires proficiency using high voltage power supplies in a manufacturing setting!

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Writing in-process test procedures for circuit boards.
  • Designing test fixtures (a plus).
  • Troubleshooting down to the component level.
  • Working closely with Engineering to support new systems development.
  • Loading software for system testing.
  • Reading schematics, wiring diagrams, or wire lists prior to system testing.
  • Reporting unusual and/or recurring faults and failures.
  • Returning defective components to Quality Assurance.
  • Traveling to customers to conduct inspections, installations, and repairs.
  • Performing other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Top must-have skills:

  • Experience in Electrical/Electronic Testing: Minimum of 3 years in the field.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility: Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of digital electronics, electrical/electronic components, and test equipment, including the use of digital oscilloscopes.

Skills & qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree desirable.
  • Established security clearance highly desirable.
  • Power conversion/power supply experience desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
  • Experience with Analog & Digital power circuits.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Some travel required to support fielded equipment, both domestic and international.

Work environment:

You will be working in a standard engineering/manufacturing company. Our large building is currently being renovated to enhance manufacturing efficiency, with new equipment and advanced testing setups. We pride ourselves on being a collaborative company.

Pay and benefits:

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
