Summary
The service technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing and setting up agricultural, construction, and turf equipment and attachments. In addition, the service technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all customers and peers on the phone, at the job site, and in the dealership.
Required Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent with up to 1 year of related experience.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct reports
Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Examines equipment and uses Electronic Service Tool (EST) to locate and diagnose malfunctions.
  • Dismantles equipment for repair using hand and power tools.
  • Completes maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Has basic knowledge of manufacturing warranty policies and procedures.
  • Correctly reassemble equipment for repair.
  • Assembles attachments as needed.
  • Tests voltage and ohms using a multimeter.
  • Repairs legacy equipment (2011 and older).
  • Operates and performs tests on equipment to ensure repairs were completed successfully to customers' expectations.
  • Performs light-duty service calls, utilizing a service truck to travel to customers' locations for on-site equipment diagnosis and repair.
  • Accurately records time spent on repairs by entering time punches in Intellidealer.
  • Reviews work orders assigned to assess the nature and scope of the work required.
  • Records details of all work performed in Intellidealer.
  • Creates pick lists of parts needed to complete work and requests parts from the parts department.
  • Assembles, washes, and details equipment.
  • Performs Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI's) to ensure equipment is ready to be delivered to a customer or put on display.
  • Advises Service Management team if issues arise with completing a work order accurately or on time.
  • Discusses and answers questions regarding work performed with the service manager and/or customers.
  • Maintains required certifications by attending company and manufacturer training courses. As a Service Technician at this level, you will participate in training for brands such as Case IH, Kubota, Claas (Wausau only), Case CE, Gehl, Kinze, and others as necessary.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work area.

Physical Requirements
This role requires frequent use of hands and fingers to handle tools, controls, and objects while sitting, standing and bending.
