Who we're looking for

Toyota'sPlant Engineering (PLE) Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivatedEngineer to join our Advanced Planning team.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this individual will work closely with customers to understand the scope of their projects and ensure the funding is properly allocated and budgeted. In this role, the Engineer will also work closely with the Accounting team to ensure the smooth flow of information and provide follow-up as needed. Additionally, they may oversee the management of the department's drawing repository.

What you'll be doing

  • Apply proven experience in plant planning, project management, construction, and building design to ensure project estimates are in line with customer and budgetary requirements

  • Apply experience with capital budgeting and evaluate expenses for capitalization or operating expense classification

  • Utilize strong analytical skills to help improve department budgetary process, improve tracking tools, and support quicker decision making

  • Apply proficiency in AutoCAD/Autodesk (reading, understanding, and the ability to update construction drawings)

  • Utilize excellent communication skills and a customer first mind set

What you bring

  • Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or similar)

  • Intermediate level experience of computer skills (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Copilot)

  • Proficiency with CAD, preferably Autodesk or similar

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience with SAP and/or Ariba

  • Experience with PowerBI

  • Professional Engineering License

  • Experience in industrial mechanical systems (piping, chilled water, compressed air, etc.)

  • Experience in industrial power systems (switchgear, power distribution systems, 480VAC and higher)

  • Experience in industrial structural steel systems

  • Experience in large scale civil installations
