Job Description
Who You Need to Be
  • High-level self-starter with demonstrated instructor/technical experience who can perform in an independent environment.
  • Familiarity with the organization and hierarchy of the U. S. Navy, military rank/grade structure, knowledge of Navy and military terminology.
  • Maintain a knowledge of basic and advanced training techniques to include leveraging computer technology applications as they apply to instructional delivery.

What You Will Do
  • Deliver dynamic classroom training in support of the Navy's 2M/MTR programs centered around the DoD's Gold Disk user and developer's course.
  • Assist in the development of new training materials, revise existing curricula, and support simulation virtual courseware updates and deployment.
  • Deliver formal training for internal and external customers, conduct instructor evaluations, and submit training reports.
  • Most of the work for this position will be in Portsmouth, VA, however, this position will require travel in CONUS and OCONUS training at various military command's training. You must be able to travel on commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position will require the movement, setup of training equipment in a classroom environment and breakdown for return shipment of training systems and materials. Lifting and movement of 60lbs equipment cases is part of the job.

Job Requirements
What You Must Have
  • 10 years relevant military electronics experience with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience as a Certified Navy Instructor with applicable Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) code or previous instructor experience.
  • Familiarity with Content Planning Module (CPM) and Learning Object Module (LOM) end to end training at the Naval Education and Training Command.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a US Passport

Clearance: SECRET security clearance.
