What We Do
YESS is a not-for-profit agency working with youth facing difficult realities. Based in Edmonton, our Youth Support Centre provides immediate and low-barrier 24/7 sleep support and individualized wrap-around supports for young people aged 15 -24.
We work collaboratively within a network of care, focused on the prevention of youth homelessness by providing youth with the necessary supports to stabilize their housing, improve their wellbeing, build life skills, connect with community, and avoid re-entry into homelessness.

What You Will Do
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) the Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of facilities maintenance, and cleanliness in all YESS properties. This includes ensuring a safe, functional, and efficient physical environment. This role is hands-on in maintenance task and responsibilities including daily cleaning, snow removal, parking lot, landscaping, repair, and security. The role also oversees the implementation of safety procedures and their execution at all YESS properties.
This role is responsible for developing and fostering collaborative relationships with other areas in the organization as it relates to services provided by operations.
This role directly supervises three facilities assistants and the Health and Safety Advisor, which includes daily delegation of tasks, coaching and mentoring, and performance management.
Hours of Work: Full-Time (40 hours per week, onsite Monday to Friday)
On-Call Requirement: Responding to on-call emergencies in a 24/7 operation
