Job description

DNI is seeking a qualified Audio Visual (AV) Technician. The AV technician will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for unclassified enterprise audiovisual systems and shall be responsible for providing customer support for enterprise users of all levels. General tasks include setup, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosis, escalation, and reporting to ensure resolution is achieved. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm/clear headed to prioritize requests while troubleshooting and addressing issues in a high-pressure situation. Must be comfortable responding to user requests and communicate with all levels.


Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Set up, test, and calibrate equipment and devices as required to produce a fully functional AV system; this includes video displays, display systems, screens, cameras, switchers, scalers, processors, transmitters, receivers, interfaces, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, controls, and other active and passive devices
  • Developing reports from After Action Reviews, Customer interactions, and ad hoc incident reporting
  • Preventive maintenance checks and its subsequent report.
  • Support end users during presentations as needed.
  • Work incidents from the work ticket queue and use established work ticketing system for receiving, tracking and closing support requests

Requirements

Required Certifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) video conferencing platform certification (e.g.Polycom and Cisco)
  • Minimum of one (1) control system platform certification (e.g. AMX, Crestron, Extron)

Required Knowledge/Experience:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Crestron Certifications in Toolbox and DMC-4K-T/E. P201 a plus, should have familiarity with Crestron NVX, Logitech, Fusion etc.
  • Ability to correct malfunctions by testing, analyzing, and restoring A/V systems to full capacity
  • Knowledge of audiovisual software commonly used in a professional environment
  • Ability to train end users in web, audio, and video teleconferencing
  • Familiar with basic Internet Protocol (IP) network administration
  • Familiar with meeting room facilities design
  • Ability to provide consultation and technical advice in the area of meeting management
  • Knowledge of bridge and conference service data management
  • Must be able to pass a government level background check.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree and one (1) to two (2) years of experience providing A/V services OR four (4) years of experience providing A/V services
