**Job Type:** Part-Time/Full-Time

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Assisted Living Bus Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services for our residents. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by ensuring they can attend appointments, engage in recreational activities, and participate in community outings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a patient demeanor, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional care to seniors.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Safely operate and maintain the facility’s transportation vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Transport residents to and from appointments, recreational activities, and community events, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Assist residents with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, including any necessary support for those with mobility challenges.
- Monitor and manage the safety and comfort of residents during transport, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Communicate positively and effectively with residents, families, and staff to address any concerns or special requests related to transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, resident attendance, and any incidents that may occur.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues to management promptly.
- Collaborate with the assisted living staff to coordinate schedules and ensure seamless transportation services.
- Uphold the principles of dignity and respect while providing assistance, reinforcing a person-centered approach to care.

**Qualifications: **

- Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving large vehicles or buses preferred, especially in a healthcare or senior living environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certifications as required.
- Excellent communication skills, with a patient and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, responsible, and attuned to the needs of elderly residents.
- Must pass level II background check.

**Physical Requirements: **

- Ability to assist residents with mobility needs, including lifting or supporting individuals if required.
- Capable of using a wheelchair lift and safely securing mobility aids in the vehicle.
