We are seeking a reliable American Sign Language (ASL) Instructor to support an after-school enrichment program.
Position Overview
The ASL Instructor will lead a fun, engaging introduction to American Sign Language for elementary and middle school students. The instructor should be comfortable working with children and able to guide students through basic ASL signs, vocabulary, and simple conversations in an interactive learning environment.
Responsibilities
  • Lead an ASL enrichment class for students
  • Teach basic American Sign Language signs, vocabulary, and communication skills
  • Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment
  • Manage classroom behavior in a positive and professional manner
  • Follow any provided lesson plans or activities from the primary instructor/program coordinator
  • Arrive on time and prepared to lead the class

Qualifications
  • Experience with American Sign Language (fluency or strong working knowledge preferred)
  • Experience working with children in an educational, camp, or enrichment setting
  • Reliable and able to step in when needed
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Passion for teaching and engaging with students
