As a Behavior Technician, you’ll join a dedicated team committed to helping individuals reach their fullest potential. Under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you’ll teach communication, social, and daily living skills, apply evidence-based ABA strategies to reduce challenging behaviors, and create positive, supportive environments. This is a hands-on role where every day brings the chance to make a meaningful difference, while growing your own career in ABA.

Every day as a Behavior Technician, you’ll:

• Teach independence through communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Apply ABA techniques to reduce challenging behaviors and build new skills.
• Collect and analyze data to track progress and guide treatment plans.

At Upstate Caring Partners, Behavior Technicians have the chance to work in a variety of settings, each offering unique experiences and meaningful impact:

• Tradewinds Education Center - Support students ages 5–21 with significant behavioral and developmental challenges in a therapeutic learning environment. Tradewinds offers a comprehensive curriculum, vocational training, therapies, and enrichment activities all designed to help students build independence and essential life skills.

• New Discoveries Learning Center - Work with preschoolers ages 3–5 in an inclusive setting that prepares them for kindergarten. This program emphasizes hands-on learning, social development, and early intervention services such as speech, occupational, and physical therapy.

• Youth & Adult Residential Programs - Provide care and support in our Children’s Residential Program (CRP) and Adult Residential Programs, creating home-like environments where individuals can thrive.

• Starting Pay: $21.23/hour
• Full-time positions in school programs or residential settings.
• Paid training and mentorship from experienced BCBAs.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field.
• A passion for helping individuals with autism and IDD succeed.
• Commitment to earning Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within your first year.
