Are you passionate about real-time graphics, interactive applications, and emerging technologies? Arthrex is seeking a Software Developer to join our team,, where you'll create innovative solutions that bring complex medical concepts to life through advanced visualization, simulation, and AR/VR technologies. Working alongside developers, 3D artists, and medical experts, you'll help deliver world-class software experiences that support surgeon education, product demonstrations, and the future of medical technology

Main Objective 

Develop high-end and innovative real-time software for medical visualizations, including surgical techniques, advertisements, medical education, AR/VR products, and related applications. Write high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code while collaborating in a cross-functional team environment.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Continuously learn and implement new and experimental features, programming languages, and SDKs for emerging visual and XR technologies.  

  • Develop interactive visual applications using established patterns and technologies.  

  • Troubleshoot software and optimize and debug applications.  

  • Prototype and implement responsive user interactions in a real-time engine.  

  • Test and document code and features across multiple systems and applications.  

  • Maintain documentation for processes, application configurations, system modifications, and help-related materials.  

  • Develop tools and software to automate testing.  

  • Incorporate models, graphics, audio, and video assets into applications.  

  • Report progress and status of assigned tasks in a timely manner.  

  • Develop real-time applications, user interfaces, and interactions that showcase technically accurate medical animations using 3D models and textures. 

  • Collaborate with Product Management and Medical Education teams to support customer education related to products and surgical procedures.  

  • Work productively and collaboratively with developers, 3D animators, modelers, and artists in a team-oriented environment.  

Skills

       Full Stack Programming experience with Realtime graphics applications like Unity and Unreal using languages such as C#, C++, Python
       Experience working with 3D Math, matrices, vectors, physics simulations, visual effects, human interface devices, and shaders. 
       Understanding of Graphic Pipelines, Assets, Animations, 3D Graphics and their integration with Realtime Applications
       Knowledge in preparing new cutting-edge technology for presentation and user testing.
       Knowledge of company practices, standards and collaboration in a team with diverse skillsets.
       Experience with distributed version control systems such as Git or PlasticSCM.

       Exhibits knowledge and application of software development best practices and patterns.
       In-depth knowledge of object oriented programming and design patterns.
       Advanced Knowledge developing solutions and tools in 3D Realtime Graphics application.
       In-depth knowledge of documentation practices and software development lifecycle.
       Proficiency in software testing, Test Driven Development (TDD), debugging and optimizations

Education/Experience

   High school diploma or equivalent required
