Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)  Fulltime  3pm-11pm with every other weekend

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations
  • Assist with admissions of new residents, including assessments and documentation.
  • Assist with the process of implementing acute and long-term care plans or service plans an/or the collection of data
  • Responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e., wounds or infection control) under the director's direction.
  • Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
  • Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in the resident’s health and provide proper documentation.
  • Respond quickly to all emergencies.
  • Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
  • Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
  • Understand the role of the Safety & Disaster Plan.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
  • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
  • Maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

License/Certification:

  • Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification
  • Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements)
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.

Job Type: Part Time

Salary: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour
