Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant

Aiken Rehabilitation and Care Center – Aiken, SC

Shift Available

• Part-Time - Weekends

Aiken Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant to join our skilled nursing team. In this essential role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while ensuring residents' personal laundry and facility linens are properly cared for.

Responsibilities

• Follow established housekeeping and laundry procedures to maintain a clean and organized facility

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute facility linens and residents' personal laundry

• Place soiled linens in washing machines and follow proper infection control procedures

• Fold, hang, and return residents' personal clothing to closets and drawers

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas

• Operate housekeeping and laundry equipment safely and efficiently

• Maintain housekeeping supplies and report equipment or maintenance concerns

• Follow all facility safety, sanitation, and infection control policies

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, or environmental services experience preferred

• Familiarity with cleaning equipment, materials, and laundry procedures

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be at least 18 years of age
