Retail Clothing Associate
Supervisor: Retail Clothing Manager

Responsibility Statement:
As a Retail Clothing Associate, you are expected to uphold and actively support the vision of New Horizons Thrift Stores as communicated by Thrift Store Management and your immediate supervisor. Through collaboration and teamwork, you will help carry out this vision within your area of responsibility and influence.
The Retail Clothing Associate is a motivated, dependable team member responsible for treating guests with care and patience, preparing clothing items for resale, maintaining a neat and clean retail area, and at times assist with registers, dressing rooms, and closing the store.
Additional tasks may be assigned at times by your supervisor. Consideration will be given to your current workload and duties.
Key Result Areas:
  • Guest interactions: greet guests with a friendly welcome and assist them in finding what they are looking for.
  • Prepare clothing items for resale: sorting, dating, hanging and displaying donated clothing items.
  • Maintain a clean and neat sales floor: sweep the floor, organize and restock shelves and racks daily.
  • Monitor dressing rooms: assist guests utilizing the dressing rooms.
  • Checkout purchases: assist with registers as needed.
  • Close the store: follow store closing procedures when working a shift at closing time.

Workplace Environment
  • Physical Labor Environment - Involves working indoors or outdoors in elements of weather, noise, equipment, dust, and temperature. Repetitive motions of the hands and arms to handle, move, carry, and control objects and tools for extended periods of time are required.
  • Body positioning - Includes standing and walking for the duration of a shift. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing and reaching is required.
  • Physical Demands - Lifting and carrying items up to 25 lbs.
  • Work Shifts - Involves full time day shift hours with occasional weekend, holiday, or evening shifts.

Compensation:
This position may be considered a full time or part time position based on scheduled work hours.
Full-time
This is a full-time position. This position is not exempt, which means that overtime pay will be paid for time worked over 40 hours per week.
Paid Medical Leave, MEC, and Life Insurance is included, optional health benefits include Vision, and HDHP. Paid vacation begins to accrue after 30 days.
Compensation will be paid twice a month, on the 7th and 21st of each month.
Part-time
This is a part-time position consisting of 30 hours or less per week. This position is not exempt, which means that overtime pay will be paid for time worked over 40 hours per week.
Paid Medical Leave is included. No paid time off is available for part-time employees.
Compensation will be paid twice a month, on the 7th and 21st of each month.
No compensation will be provided for voluntary time and/or services provided and volunteered by the employee that fall outside the typical employee responsibilities for this job.
