Job description

Assistant Womens Volleyball Coach
Position Summary
The Assistant Coach for Women?s Volleyball supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the
program, including coaching, recruiting, player development, and program administration. This
role plays a key part in fostering the athletic, academic, and spiritual growth of student-athletes
while contributing to the overall success and culture of the program. The Assistant Coach may
also assist with departmental initiatives as assigned and is expected to actively support the
university?s Christian mission.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coaching & Player Development
? Assist the head coach and staff with daily practices, drills, and game preparation
? Analyze game and practice film to provide feedback to players and coaching staff
? Mentor and support student-athletes academically and spiritually
? Help with strength and conditioning programs as directed
Recruiting & Administrative Support
? Assist with recruiting efforts, including communications, travel planning, and hosting
prospective student-athletes
? Maintain recruiting databases and compliance records
? Help organize team schedules, travel arrangements, and logistics
? Support compliance with NCCAA and institutional rules
? Help organize fundraising events and service projects

? Support game-day operations, including stats tracking, scouting reports, and team

? Support and promote the university?s mission, values, and faith-based community
initiatives
Additional Responsibilities
? Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director
REQUIRED MINIMUM Qualifications
According to Ohio Christian University employment policy, all employees must possess a strong
Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the OCU Community Lifestyle
Statement.
Required:
? Bachelor?s degree from an accredited institution
? Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
? Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
Preferred:
? Master?s degree
? Experience in volleyball coaching or playing at the collegiate level
? Knowledge of NCCAA rules and recruiting processes
? Passion for mentoring and developing student-athletes athletically and spiritually
