Job description
Logistics & Travel Management: Directs all aspects of team travel and meal coordination; develops emergency management strategies and anticipates logistical changes to ensure seamless execution under uncertain conditions.
Financial Oversight & Compliance: Manages team budgets through rigorous financial analysis and resource optimization; performs high-level reconciliation of Travel and Purchase cards in strict accordance with University, NCAA, and Big Ten Conference regulations.
Administrative Leadership: Oversees the planning of official/unofficial recruiting visits, fundraising initiatives, and special team events while fostering professional relationships with local and national vendors.
Strategic Planning: Projects long-term resource needs and develops efficient workflows to promote the sustained success of Olympic sports special projects.
Physical Demands: The position requires prolonged sitting and computer use, as well as the ability to operate standard office equipment with manual dexterity. The role involves occasional standing or walking to attend meetings or conduct orientations and may require lifting light office materials (up to 20 pounds). Visual acuity and effective verbal and auditory communication are essential for reviewing financial data and interacting with employees in person, by phone, or virtually.
Licenses/ Certifications: NAMinimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a professional setting.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics administrative structure and responsibilities.
Knowledge of athletics policies and procedures and federal, state, and other applicable, related laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
Ability to multitask and prioritize within unit and department environment as well manage large-scale athletics-related projects.
