Position Overview
Our By Light team, the premier providers of innovative Information Technology (IT) services and communications support to the Department of Defense and Federal Agencies, is growing. We're increasing our team to support the US Army Comprehensive Modernization (COMPMOD) program. The program delivers end-to-end EFIS&T services-including survey and design through installation, security, and testing. This work spans NIPR and SIPR networks, Wi-Fi, VoIP, ISP/OSP infrastructure, and voice modernization across all CONUS Army installations.
We're looking for an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operational execution for Army network modernization efforts. You'll ensure schedules stay on track, resources are used effectively, and issues are resolved quickly to support on-time delivery across multiple installations.
You'll work closely with government stakeholders, engineering teams, and field personnel to coordinate activities, manage schedules, and keep operations moving smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure implementation and production schedules are executed as planned
  • Manage and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to support on-time delivery and conflict resolution
  • Coordinate and resolve survey-related and operational issues
  • Ensure effective use of survey and system resources
  • Supervise operational staff and support day-to-day execution activities
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with government and program stakeholders

Required Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or a related technical field
  • Four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • 5+ years of IMS experience, including at least 2 years leading scheduling personnel
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project (Server or Online)
  • Demonstrated experience developing, baselining, maintaining, and analyzing IMS on complex programs
  • Experience with schedule health metrics (e.g., DCMA 14-point check, BEI, CPLI, SPI

Preferred Experience/Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting the U.S. Army or other federal agencies
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with senior military leadership and program teams

Special Requirements/Security Clearance
  • Active Secret clearance required at the time of application
  • Travel up to 25%, as required
